Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 5.0.5/RELEASE - release notes
ATTENTION! If you are installing the RPM!
This package is not an upgrade. It contains the relase of version 5.0.5.

# rpm -U --force kav4mailservers-linux-5.0-5.i386.rpm
After the upgrade, the new configuration file of the product will be
/etc/kav/5.0/kav4unix.conf.rpm.new. Please, view the file and make necessary
corrections to the existing configuration file.
Bugs fixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused aveserver not to restart after successful updating
of the anti-virus database; the application's PID file was closed too soon.
- Removed a bug that caused the anti-virus (both kavscanner and aveserver)
to crash when working with some files.
- Fixed a bug related to Postfix configuration that caused Postfix to freeze
under high loads.
- Bugs with installation from tar.gz have been fixed: in some cases the
rights for directories were assigned incorrectly.
- Several minor bugs with installation of the product under OpenBSD have
been fixed.
- Fixed a bug with kavscanner related to virus list generation that
displayed duplicated names of some viruses in the virus list.
- Several minor bugs with kavscanner output have been fixed.
- Fixed a rare bug that caused skipping some directories when scanning the
main file system from the root location.
- Fixed a bug with webmin when an invalid configuration file was saved in
some cases.
Functionality changes
- The 'Client connection closed' message of aveserver is now not regarded as
ERROR.
- In the configuration file, the default values for all Append settings in
the report section are now set to "yes".
- The decision and virus name, as detected by kavscanner, are now separated
with a tab character in the report file.
